The rulebook

Version 2026.3

Everything we can hold you to, and what each rule means in practice. When we reject a video or restrict an account we name the clause, and the number in that decision links straight to the paragraph below.

Who can take work

One person, one account, and an account we can pay.

1.1One account per person

An individual may hold one countviews account. Operating more than one account, or operating an account on behalf of another person without disclosure, ends both accounts and forfeits unreleased earnings.

What that means

One account each. Several posting channels on one account is fine and expected — several accounts is not.

1.2Where we can pay

Payout rails available to an account are determined by the account holder's citizenship and country of residence, and by the sanctions and licensing perimeter in force. Restrictions are disclosed before work is submitted.

What that means

Some rails are closed to some passports. We tell you which before you make anything, never after.

What the video must be

Yours, labelled as an ad, and matching the brief you accepted.

2.1Whose work it is

A submission is filed by the account that published the video, and we check that with the platform before anything is counted. The rights to the material are the submitter's to hold and to warrant; which material a campaign accepts is stated in its own rules, on its own page.

What that means

File from the account that posted it — that part we verify. What you may film is the campaign's business, and the rights to it are yours.

2.2Advertising disclosure

Every submission must carry the publishing platform's paid-partnership label, and any disclosure the campaign requires, at the moment of measurement and for the whole measurement window. We re-read both at every measurement. Where a platform does not report its label to us we record that and judge nothing: an unread rule neither blocks nor admits.

What that means

Switch the platform's ad label on and leave it on. This is the law in most places, and it is on you, the brand and us at the same time.

2.3One campaign per video

A video submitted to a campaign may not carry advertising for another advertiser during that campaign's measurement window.

What that means

One clip, one sponsor.

2.4Meets the brief

A campaign's own rules are part of these rules. Each campaign states its requirements in full on its own page, before any work is filed against it; every one of them is checked before the submission is accepted, and those a measurement can re-read are checked again at every measurement. Requirements added afterwards do not apply to work already filed, and a rejection names the requirement that was not met.

What that means

The campaign page is the brief, and everything on it is checked. A brief that changes tomorrow cannot reject what you posted today.

How views are counted

From the platform, at the lowest reading, with every deduction shown.

3.1Counted views

Earnings are calculated on counted views: readings taken from the publishing platform during the measurement window, less views voided by the checks described in 3.2. The figure on the video is not the figure we pay on.

What that means

We pay on what we can verify. Every voided view is shown to you with its reason, on the clip, at the reading it happened.

3.2Voided views

Views may be voided where growth is inconsistent with organic distribution, where engagement is absent, where the audience does not match the campaign's market, or where the source cannot be verified. Voiding is disclosed per reading with its reason.

What that means

Bought views get thrown out before anybody is paid for them — not clawed back afterwards.

3.3The lowest reading

Where readings during the window differ, earnings are calculated on the lowest reading observed, not the highest.

What that means

Views that appear and then vanish were never counted by the platform either. We pay on the number that stayed.

Decisions and appeals

A named reason, a human, and a way to argue.

4.1Statement of reasons

A rejection, restriction or reversal states the clause relied on, the fact observed, the value required, and the amount affected. A decision without those four elements is not effective.

What that means

We have to tell you what rule, what we saw, what was needed, and what it cost you. If we cannot, we cannot reject you.

4.2Review by a person

Any decision restricting an account or refusing payment for completed work is taken by a person. Automated systems may flag; they may not decide.

What that means

No robot bans you.

4.3Appeal

Every decision may be appealed within 180 days. An appeal is reviewed by somebody who was not party to the decision, with a written reply within 14 calendar days. A successful appeal restores the position and pays what was withheld.

What that means

Anything can be appealed — including the reasons you cannot resubmit for. Somebody else looks, and answers you in writing within two weeks.

Money

Reserved before you post, held briefly, then yours.

5.1Funds are reserved

A campaign is only visible while its budget is reserved. Reserved funds are held in safeguarded accounts at a licensed electronic money institution and are not countviews's working capital.

What that means

The money is already there before you make anything. We do not hold it — a licensed institution does.

5.2Holds

Earnings are withdrawable after a hold period determined by the account's standing. The hold applying to a submission is disclosed before it is made.

What that means

There is a wait between earning and withdrawing, you always know how long it is before you start, and connecting an account shortens it.

5.3The advertised rate is what you receive

countviews's commission is charged to the advertiser in addition to the campaign rate. No fee is deducted from creator earnings.

What that means

€1.20 per 1 000 means you get €1.20 per 1 000.

Rules change. A decision is read against the version that was in force when it was made, not against this one, and the decision says which.
